После нескольких месяцев лесных пожаров и засухи в Австралии начались проливные дожди с грозами. Они не смогли полностью погасить огонь, но помогают в борьбе с ним. Число «горячих точек» уменьшилось, но ситуация в стране остается сложной. Неделю назад в некоторых районах снова провели эвакуацию местных жителей из-за угрозы возгорания, а метеорологи опасаются, что сухая и теплая погода уже скоро может вернуться.
Звезда Instagram и основатель собственного заповедника Дин Шнайдер (26) под одним из последних фото сделал заявление:
«Шумиха в социальных сетях улеглась, но настоящие проблемы начались только сейчас! Миллионы животных потеряли свои дома и сильно пострадали от пожаров, другие потеряли семью… Большинство из них обезвожены и голодны: не осталось ни воды, ни еды!» — написал он и призвал продолжать говорить об ущербе, который нанесли пожары, продолжать помогать.

This powerful image, called ‘Survivor’ comes from photographer @DavidYarrow, who has launched the campaign with @wild.ark to raise $2 million to support recovery efforts in Australia. Fifty percent of the proceeds raised through this campaign will be directed to @EarthAlliance ’s Australia Wildfire Fund, and WildArk will use the remaining donations to support local organizations working on wildlife rehabilitation and habitat restoration. Напомним, в Австралии несколько месяцев бушуют пожары. К концу декабря 2019-го ситуация окончательно вышла из-под контроля: Сеть заполонили фотографии пострадавших районов и буквально заживо сгоревших животных. На данный момент их погибло больше миллиарда!
